Important Information About The 2021 Assessment Update

The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) is responsible for assessing and classifying more than five million properties in Ontario in compliance with the Assessment Act and regulations set by the Government of Ontario.

The next Assessment Update was scheduled for January 1, 2021. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Province has postponed the timing of this update. No details on a new date are available.

The January 1, 2016 assessment values will remain in use for 2021. Comments made by the Provincial government during its 2021 budget announcement indicate that these values will also remain in effect for 2022.
