Municipal Election – Notice of Election Monday, October 22, 2018

The Ryerson Township Election will be conducted using Vote by Mail.

The Vote by Mail kits were mailed September 24, 2018 – so look for yours in the mail.  You may deposit your ballot at the Ballot Return Station at the Municipal Office, 28 Midlothian Rd. Alternatively kits may be mailed by October 11, 2018 so that they are received by the municipality by October 22, 2018.

Election Day
The next Municipal Election will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 for the 2018-2022 term of office.
Voting Method
The election method for the 2018 Municipal Election in the Township of Ryerson will be Vote by Mail.

Nomination Period
The nomination period for the 2018 Municipal Election will open on May 1, 2018 and will close at 2:00 p.m. on July 27, 2018.
Changes to the Municipal Elections Act
On June 9, 2016, the Municipal Elections Modernization Act, 2016 came into effect making a number of changes to the Municipal Elections Act, 1996. For information on these changes visit the Ministry of Municipal Affairs website.
