Senior Administrative Position Job Posting 

The Township of Ryerson is inviting applications for a Senior Administration position. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer/Clerk/Deputy Treasurer, the successful applicant will assist in fulfilling the statutory responsibilities of either the Clerk and/or Treasury Departments and provide a wide range of administrative services. Specific duties and job description will be dependent on the interests, abilities and qualifications of the successful applicant, and as such we are providing below two existing job descriptions as a reference.

Deputy Clerk  Job Description

The Deputy Clerk is responsible for assisting with the performance of all statutory, operational and advisory duties of the Clerk, as assigned by the CAO/Clerk/Deputy Treasurer. The incumbent is required to maintain positive and productive relations with other staff members, elected officials and the public and to deal with confidential information with discretion and judgement.

 Treasurer Job Description

As the senior financial officer of the Township, the Treasurer is responsible for the overall financial management of the Township, including the execution of the statutory duties of the Treasurer under the Municipal Act and other applicable legislation. The incumbent is required to maintain positive and productive relations with other staff members, elected officials and the public and to deal with confidential information with discretion and judgement.

Truck Driver, Equipment Operator Job Description – Accepting Applications

Under the Direction of the Public Works Supervisor or Lead Hand, Truck Driver/Equipment Operators are responsible for operating various types of municipal vehicles and equipment in the maintenance of roads within the Township, in addition to maintaining and repairing equipment.
